Snow in SC

Yes, you have read that right. When our friends from Keller Texas called and said they had snow, I thought oh better then than me. Then it all started people talking and the weather man (who is wrong, for the most part) started getting everyone all excited. I kept saying all day, it's not going to snow! A teacher friend called me to let me know that school was letting out at 1 and she could keep Ethan for me. I kept saying this is not for real. Then.... it all started, we were snacking on some food in the kitchen and I said, is it snowing? It began as a rainy sleet and quickly turned to white stuff. The kids, including Anna Grace started flipping out. We went out to play in it, in the dark for fear it wouldn't be there in the morning. Well, morning came and so did 6 inches of snow. The boys woke me up asking to go outside, so we bundled up and out they went. It was beautiful and we enjoyed all of it with our great friends and new neighbors. Once we were tired of the snow and our feet and hands were cold, we came in and I made pancakes for everyone with the help of Julie. The kids have been in and out all day having a blast. I think this is more that we received in 89 after HUGO.

Surf Camp for our new surfer Ashton

Ashton had a great opportunity to attend a surf camp on Folly Beach. He spent the week with MaMa and PaPa and they took him every morning to the beach for camp. He was fully surfing by the second day. He had a great time, meet some cool people and he has memories with his grandparents that he will never forget. Now comes the time to purchase a surfboard. I didn't realize how much they were or maybe surf camp won't have been such a great idea.

Folly Beach with Aunt Donna

What a better way to beat the 100 degree temprature but spending the day at the beach. We all had a great time, Anna Grace and Ethan played "on your mark, get set, GO" running all over the place while Mark and Ashton body surfed the waves. Ashton just spent a week at surf camp, so of course our next purchase is going to have to be a surfboard. We are heading back to the beach today, Aunt Donna is enjoying the water and the sun.

Anna Grace

Our little sweetie...
Our Strawberry picking fun! If you are wondering, we do have barber shops in South Carolina....

Strawberry Picking

It was so much fun to go strawberry picking with our friends. It was nice to do the things that we have done for years in the past. We will be making jam tomorrow after church. The kids had a blast and the berries were very nice and huge.

Christmas Card

These are the pictures that I intended to use for our 2008 Christmas card. I feel as if something is missing from my holiday since I did not send out any cards. I promise next year to be a little more organized.

Christmas in the Carolinas

We had a very eventful prechristmas week. Ethan was in a play at church "The Mouse Tale" it was the Christmas story told by a mother mouse in the manger. He was a very good King. We finally were able to find Santa 2 days before Christmas, he was getting very tired. Anna Grace did not enjoy the experience. Ashton and Ethan made sure that he knew exactly what they wanted and what Anna Grace wanted. Christmas Eve was very nice we had friends over after church and Ethan put reindeer food out on the lawn. It was so inocent and a memory that I may never forget!

Registering our cars

When we arrived we had to register and weight our cars. Ethan's car was .1 gram too heavy. Mr. Terry had it all under control, he removed some of the weight off of the bottom. Ashton's car was right on. We waited anticipating what was to happen next. It was pretty late and the boys did a great job being patient.

The Winner is.....

Ethan enjoyed this event so much.. He loved watching all of the cars race and was thrilled when his won the first heat... he jumped up and ran back to Mr.Terry and hugged him. It was so cute. Ethan won 2nd place for speed...

Getting ready for AWANA race day

Mr. Terry and the boys had a great time getting their cars ready for the big race. I think that Mr. Terry had as much fun doing this as the boys did.
